Abdination Mengabdi #1 is a volunteering program focused on community development and environmental conservation in the beautiful Labuan Bajo region, located on Pulau Seraya, Manggarai Barat, Nusa Tenggara Timur. The program aims to empower local communities through education, health, environmental preservation, and economic empowerment. Participants will engage in hands-on activities to contribute to the local society while exploring the stunning natural beauty of the region.

Pulau Seraya, a prime tourist destination located just 10 kilometers from Labuan Bajo, is known for its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant marine life. It’s an ideal location for eco-tourism, and the program focuses on preserving this rich environment while enhancing local livelihoods.

Program Highlights:

The Abdination Mengabdi #1 program offers diverse activities designed to create a meaningful impact:

• Dive Clean Action: Participants will join beach cleanup activities and contribute to maintaining the beauty of the coastline.

• Mangrove Planting Session: A hands-on environmental activity to protect coastal ecosystems by planting mangroves.

• Community-Based Education: Establishing a mini-library and educational programs, including teaching basic English and life skills to local children.

• Health Outreach: Educating the community about nutrition, health, and providing basic medical training like First Aid.

• Cultural Celebration: Participants will also be part of the local Independence Day celebrations, fostering a sense of unity and patriotism among the residents.

• Creative Media Workshop: Participants will document the experiences through video production, social media training, and website creation to promote local tourism and small businesses.

• Explore Labuan Bajo: Experience the natural beauty and rich culture of Labuan Bajo and its surroundings, including local cuisine, beaches, and historical landmarks.

   1. Age: 15-35 years (For Fully Funded, 15-35 years old; For Self-Funded, up to 40 years old)

   2. Must have a useful idea or contribution for the local community

   3. Willingness to engage in the selected division (Education, Health, Environment, and Tourism)

   4. Ability to work in teams and follow all program rules and regulations

2. Registration Process

   1. Fully Funded: Includes full coverage of travel expenses, accommodation, meals, and program activities.

      4. Submit your donation payment and confirm via WhatsApp

   2. Self Funded: Participants cover their own costs, including travel and accommodation.

      3. No selection process required, just direct participation in the program

   3. Special Funded: For individuals invited by Abdination due to their previous contributions to community development.

• April 29 - 30, 2025: Interview Sessions

• May 10, 2025: Final Announcement of Fully Funded Participants

Program Benefits:

• Full Coverage: For Fully Funded participants, all expenses, including travel, accommodation, meals, and program materials, are covered.

• Certificate of Completion: Upon completing the program, participants will receive a certificate recognizing their contribution to the community and the environment.

• Community Support: Volunteers will receive guidance from Abdination’s team throughout the program, as well as help with securing funding for travel via sponsorships.
